I've played quite a few mods and i feel compelled to share my feeling about some. of course if you think that I'm talking about a moderator when i say mod, your wrong. I'm talking about modifications and if you need to know more about those go to http://www.moddb.com/ for info. OK lets begin.

Garry's mod
half life 2 mod
Garry's mod is a lot of fun even if its become a legitimate game. Garry's mod costs only $10 on steam and you can download addons for it that will add new features, the addons are made by people online specifically for the game, you can find addons at http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/. the game itself is a sandbox game that gives you the tools and the materials to make almost anything in the source engine. when you play it right its incredibly fun.

they hunger
half life mod
This mod comes in 3 parts although you can download a version that has all the parts put into one mod. if you couldn't tell from the title, its a horror mod starring a nameless writer who is going on vacation to rest up before writing his next book (this character being the player) and a whole sh*t load of zombies. i don't know if its just me but i didn't get that scared in this game, unless you count the battles sequences that had Ichythyosaurs which really freak me out. i haven't beaten TH yet and i don't know if i ever will as after you complete part one, things take a turn for the frustrating. let me explain, I've watched my brother play this, and in part two there is a water treatment plant that has a gate which you can see through in it, you can see a road through there, and later you end up on the other side of that gate. this wouldn't be frustrating except when you get there you have a police officer following you, which in that game is a reskined version of the security guard from half life, and those guards usually use consoles to open doors, and next to the gate is a console, so you think maybe you get that police officer to open the gate? or maybe you might swim through the water to move on? no. you have to go trough some random passage on the side of a cliff to move on confused and then there is the insane asylum... i might get more in depth on that later but is extremely frustrating, but that game despite all the frustration in the world is stilll very fun, check it out if you own a copy of half life.

thats all for now as my they hunger review ran longer then i expected.

next time: smod tactical and afraid of monsters.

WoW Oo this alone makes me wanna buy half life...is it a good game? what genrea? platform? price?!

I have it for the XBOX360 ( via theorange box ) used for 45 bucks. Its a first person shooter, and its an okay game IMO...

no, there is no way to get it for 360, if you've checked it out you would have seen that there is a section for 360 mods and i don't know how those work, but the mods im going to be talking about are built for the computer. as for you uberous, if you download steam (http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php) you can buy half life for about ten dollars and just so you know it is a first person shooter and it was released in 1998 so the graphics are out dated, but its still an amazing game and Garry's mod is around the same price but you can also get it bundled with a whole bunch of other games.

Crap! I am lacking the pc version, but I also refuse to buy it again for the PC just to get a mod....

well just to say because i don't know if any one noticed, garry's mod doesn't require hl2 you can buy it, and they hunger is a half life ONE mod, not half life 2.

I might get the They Hunger one then, sounds pretty cool. Im in for a scare.

just so you know they hunger isn't as scary as it could be, and if you want something truly scary you might want to check out afraid of monsters (pitch dark hospital+very fast zombies=scary). AOM and especially the directer's cut is fantastic, although i don't really feel i'm qualified to review it as i haven't played it enough...
