Charizard is the secound fully evolved pokemon in the national pokedex and is a fire/flying type. Its stats implicate a Special Sweeper, but its moveset makes it go either way.
Breed moves in this set(s): Belly Drum ( Snorlax ) Dragon Dance ( Dragonite )
Special SweeperNature:Timid/Modest
Item:LifeOrb/ChoiceScarf
Ev's:252 Spec.Atk/252 Speed/6 Hit Points
Moves:
Flamethrower
AirSlash
FocusBlast/Hp Fighting
DragonPulse
Obviously, Choice Scarf and Modest nature is preffered, but Life Orb and Timid is viable. The preference of HP Fight or Focus Blast is purely personal, but Focus Blast is reccamended because HP Fight does not usually have a high power ( or at least, recent reports have made it look like so ).
Counters: A PhazePert will get this pokemon down and out, and anything with a good rock move will own it. Aerodactyl will probably be the most common threat to this guy, so try bringing a good wall like Swampert or Bronzong with your Charizard to prevent this from happening.
Belly DancerNature:Adamant
Item:SalacBerry
Ev's:252 Attack/252 Speed/6 Hit Points
Moves:
Belly Drum
Substitute
FirePunch
Earthquake/ShadowClaw/DragonClaw/AerialAce
This is the Belly Zard, first you use Substitute to get to 75%, Belly Drum to get down to 25%, get a Salac Speed Boost, and sweep with Fire Punch and basically a filler move of your choice. Earthquake is reccamend for maximum coverage.
Counters: Again, anything faster then it ( although if it had a Salac Boost it wont be outsped by anything that doesnt scarf/salac itself ) with a decent rock move will own it. With a Belly Drum up not much can wall it, but anything strong enough to take a single hit from it will probably eradicate it considering it is only @ 25% HP.
Dragon that knows the TangoNature:Lonely
Item:LifeOrb
Ev's:252 Spec.Atk/252 Speed/6 Atk
Moves:
Flamethrower
BrickBreak
AirSlash/Hp Fight/DragonPulse
DragonDance
This is easy: Dragon Dance to get an attack buff for Brick Break ( this can 2HKO Blissey ) and get an added speed bonus. LifeOrb will overpower any of its moves. Where does the name come from? Well, I invisioned this set, and I thought that was a cool name. So Bleh.
Counters: Unlike the Belly Zard, any good Physical Wall can wall this thing completely unless weak to one of the special moves you pack, and any special wall that resists BrickBreak can wall it. Its actual "Counters" ( I think the definition of counter needs tweaking ) would probably be like a Scarf-Z that knows Thunderbolt.
Standard DD'rNature:Adamant
Item:LifeOrb
Ev's:252 Attack/252 Speed/6 HitPoints
Moves:
FirePunch
DragonDance
Earthquake
Roost/Aerial Ace
Roost or AAce? AAce will add type coverage, but roost can roost off life orb damage in a pinch, so its all a matter of preference. This is probably a more unoriginal set, but effective.
Counters: At the same time of being type-covery(thats a word), this pokemon also has the SAME weaknesses to Aero as the others, unless of course it has a few DD's up. But even in that case, Aero is either resist or immune to all of its moves.
